First, please check on the official webpage that you are already running the latest version of RogueKiller.
Then, simply click on “Scan” to start the scanning process. It will find (or not, if you’re lucky) infectious/suspicious items, and will tell you explicitly in most of the cases.
In some other cases, you’ll need either some knowledge about your system internals to decide what to do with the detections (Have you installed that software? Have you set a proxy? Is that DNS IP the one of my internet provider?…) or you can ask for help on our forum.
RogueKiller is a mix of a regular and advanced scanner. It means we are doing our best to target infections and remove them without the need for the user to be a malware expert. But in some cases it’s not possible and heuristic engine tells something is suspicious and you’ll need expert advice to tell you to remove or not the items. Again, if you don’t known what you’re doing, please ask. It never hurts to ask.
You will find the official tutorial here, just to guide you through the possibilities of the software.
