This is the Malwarebytes tutorial, an anti-malaware software which can be downloaded here. If you are looking for more documentation, please refer to that page.

Malwarebytes can be used on Windows XP, Server 2003, Vista, Server 2008, Win7, Win8, Win8.1, Win10.
Malwarebytes can be used on both 32 bits and 64 bits operating systems.

  1. Download Malwarebytes on the desktop, and quit all unnecessary running programs.

  1. Start Malwarebytes, and follow the procedure below

Start a new Scan by clicking on the “Scan Now” button from the dashboard.

Wait for it to end (it usually takes from 20 to 30 mns)

After the scan has terminated, Malwarebytes will display a results screen with possible found items.

Verify the detected elements and check or uncheck them for removal.

After you have chosen the items to remove, click on “Quarantine Selected” button.
The removal starts, wait for it to end. It can take up to 5 mns, depending on how many items are detected and their nature.

After the removal is done, a removal results screen appears. Verify the items selected for removal have been removed without any error. Malwarebytes may ask for a reboot, this is necessary to complete the cleanup.

Should you need a report, you can open it after the removal.
If you missed it, you can retrieve your old scan reports into the “Reports” menu.

If you have quarantined an element by error, you can restore it from the “Quarantine” menu.
